Christmas Stockings

It's been a stress filled time taking me away from crazy quilting over the span of several weeks. Before you feel too sorry for me, the stress was caused by doing sane quilting as gifts! It's really starting to be a chore to just machine stitch and not do any hand work. My kids don't want my CQ projects as they say they're too "fancy." Maybe someday!!

I thought for Christmas I would at least give you some photos of CQ stockings. The first two of these are by Shirlee Fassell, the next one is mine, and the last one was embellished for me in a RR. (Embellishment by Rengin Yazitas, Thusitha Ariyartne, Shirlee Fassell, Reneta Datzova, and Melodie Lente)

  1. I enjoyed the tour of your socks Maureen!

I too can relate to the itch to stitch because too much time making sane presents for crazy people...

  2. I like all of these but the bottom one really speaks to me.

  3. Maureen these are all really great! But Shirlee's second one is my favorite...it just captures the elegance of winter to me...and the vintage Santa is showcased brilliantly, being the only colored area of the stocking.

I can just imagine this stocking filled with exquisite bon bons, a Victorian novel, a DVD of Wuthering Heights, some fine tea, some lavender soap...oh, and why not a pair of dangle diamond earrings? ;-)

  4. I just have to say that although the sane quilting projects might not be as exciting, we are all really enjoying the fruits of your labor! They are beautiful quilts I will always treasure!
